Screw pumps are a vital part of the dry compressed gas transfer pump family and are widely used in industrial applications requiring reliable, continuous, and pulsation-free flow. As positive displacement pumps, they use one or more rotating screws to move fluids or gases smoothly along the screw shaft.

These pumps are particularly popular in industrial vacuum systems, often operating alongside Roots blowers, and serve as oil-free roughing pumps in high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications.

Screw pumps operate using two precisely engineered, counter-rotating screw rotors designed to rotate toward each other. This synchronized movement creates sealed cavities between the screw threads and the pump housing.
