Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump (AODD Pump)
An Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump (AODD Pump), also known as a pneumatic diaphragm pump, is a type of positive displacement pump powered by compressed air. It is widely recognized for its versatility, reliability, and ability to handle challenging fluids in industrial environments.
Unlike hydraulic pumps that rely on hydraulic fluid, or conventional water pumps designed mainly for water transfer and priming, an AODD pump operates using compressed air to drive flexible diaphragms. These diaphragms move back and forth, creating suction on one side and discharge on the other, ensuring smooth and efficient fluid transfer.
